A one-day kick-off meeting for the RE-HAB project took place in 21s™ January 2026 in Karlsruhe, Germany, bringing together the full consortium to transition from preparation to initial project implementation. This meeting built on earlier pre-kick-off meeting in December 2025, which allowed initial alignment on project scope, roles, and expectations.
Coordinated by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), RE-HAB- Reshaping Education for a Social and Sustainable Habitat- is a 24-month project funded by the Erasmus+ programme. It runs from December 2025 to November 2027 and brings together five partners from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland, and Cyprus. The primary goal of RE-HAB is to upskill young future professionals in the European habitat sector with competencies in circular economy principles and social innovation. The project aims to bridge the environmental and social skills gap by providing accessible training resources, empowering the next generation of workers to lead the transition towards Society 0.5.
The project will develop a joint curriculum, digital training platform, and interactive learning resources focused on circular economy and social innovation. Activities include stakeholder consultations, e-learning platform creation, pilot training sessions, and social media-based learning experiences.
SHINE was represented by the Luis Dias, Minoo Doost Juliana Louceiro and Carina Dantas, as the leading partner of Defining Competencies for Social Innovation and Sustainability in the Habitat Sector together with supporting roles in other tasks of the project.
