As the FITT-NESS Train-the-Trainer programme approaches, it is the perfect time to announce that the training package, led by SHINE, is now available on the project’s website: https://www.fitt-ness.eu/trainer-program-package/.
The package features a tailored curriculum aligned with regional and sectoral priorities, validated by 15 experts across North of Portugal, Murcia, and Lombardia, and structured into four modules: Digital Skills, Sustainability, Workforce and Retention, and Adult Education. Designed for trainers in the furniture sector, it combines theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world applications, including PowerPoint slides for nine learning units covering topics such as Adult Education, Digital Tools, Circular Economy, Environmental Certification, Eco-Friendly Design, Talent Management, Work-Life Strategies, Employee Engagement/Retention, and Management Methods.
The programme emphasises interactive and hands-on learning. To support this approach, an Adult Education Handbook was developed, divided into Foundations of Adult Education and Methodologies & Pedagogical Approaches, featuring examples of engaging activities tailored to the furniture sector.
This comprehensive package equips trainers with the tools, strategies, and knowledge needed to foster sustainable workforce practices and support professional development across the furniture sector. In the coming months, the Train-the-Trainer programme will be implemented, providing participants with the skills and resources to share and multiply their knowledge among SMEs in North of Portugal, Murcia, Lombardia, and Sicily.
