The study on “Crisis cost for European SMEs” was published! 

HINE 2Europe worked together with Wise Angle and with the collaboration of INSME | The International Network for Small and Medium Enterprises to deliver a quali-quantitative analysis commissioned by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC – Employers ‘group).  

This study aimed to know the impacts and the successful adaptation strategies that were faced and put in place by the European SMEs to deal with the COVID19 pandemic situation, and the economic crisis that was also a consequence of the disease, and also the impacts caused by the war in Ukraine and the international turmoil. 

The methods used were literature review, semi-structured interviews and qualitative data compilation, focused on an EU-12 sample of countries and six main sectors. The results brought knowledge and recommendations to EU and national institutions.
