Carina Dantas, SHINE’s CEO, is part of the expert team who wrote the recent published CEN/TS 17834:2022 European Professional Ethics Framework for the ICT Profession (EU ICT Ethics). 

This framework aims to provide guidance, from theory to practice, on how ICT professionals and organisations can frame relevant values and translate them into an ethical management process, which they can then apply in their daily procedures. This includes guidance on the necessary tools, such as a code of ethics, together with some case studies for inspiration. 

This referral is based on the premise that a trusted ICT profession should combine technical expertise with high levels of ethical knowledge, and to do that, the ethical values should be integrated into educational programmes and professional practices.
