SHINE 2Europe is the international coordinator of the PRIORITY45 project, which launched the Skills Map aimed at adults over 45. Based on in-depth research and several meetings with experts and stakeholders, this map gathers information on the skills and real needs of people over 45, understanding their point of view and which skills or areas they would like to improve in their workplace.
Adults in older age groups are one of the most neglected groups in companies, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which has completely changed the way people work. One of the main obstacles is the difficulty of changing jobs or starting a business after reaching a certain age. It is important for workers to be able to reinvent themselves, acquiring transversal skills to use their experience and wisdom to transform society and companies.
Accordingly, the partners have developed the Competence Map on workplace skills for adults 45+, which will serve as the basis for the development of the PRIORITY 45 Virtual Course.
