SIRENE presented in the Management Committee Meeting of NET4Age-Friendly

On the 24th May, Carina Dantas, SHINE’s CEO and SIRENE’s Coordinator and Willeke van Staalduinen (AFEdemy) presented SIRENE to over 50 members of the COST Action NET4Age-Friendly that attended the Management Committee Meeting of this network, both in presence and online.

Under the title “SIRENE Social Innovation Framework and ecosystems on responsive inclusive environments”, Carina and Willeke provided the attendants with an overview of the project aims and facts, its connection and potential synergies to explore under the SHAFE (Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments) concept and with the NET4 network. They also presented the main achievements so far, namely the state-of-the-art development and the creation and animation of the SIRENE Expert Hub, gathering 27 experts from the EU-27 Member States that are co-creating the social innovation framework with the project team.

SIRENE is a HorizonEurope CSA, coordinated by SHINE, that aims to support the growth of social innovation actors in eco-friendly and sustainable community-based services for SHAFE implementation. 

NET4Age-Friendly is a COST Action aiming to establish local, regional and national ecosystems, and/or to promote the growth of existing ones in each European country involved, working in health and wellbeing towards an age-friendly digital world with 550 members of 50 countries. The main aim of NET4Age-Friendly is to establish an international and interdisciplinary network of researchers from all sectors to foster awareness, and to support the creation and implementation of smart, healthy indoor and outdoor environments for present and future generations.
