For the first time, the SIRENE Expert Hub met on February 24, 2023, to identify the challenges of capacity building related to eco-friendly and age-friendly social innovation. This event was the starting point of a cycle of webinars directed to the active engagement of an Expert Hub, comprehending 30-50 European experts, to co-design and co-create the main features of the Framework. The Expert’s Hub Chair is Matteo Zallio, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge. The thematic area explored in this webinar concerns capacity-building, namely the hows and whys to boost networking, nurture an ecosystem, manage team dynamics, and disseminate results.
Carina Dantas, as the coordinator of the project, participated on the meeting hosted by ISRAA, and she presented the project, aims and expected results of SIRENE. In this meeting and workshop, around 30 participants highlighted aspects that are important to consider to boost the creation of Age-Friendly Environments.
The next co-creation session by the SIRENE Expert Hub will take place on the 28th of April where we will take on further these considerations into building a social innovation framework.
SIRENE [Social Innovation Responsive Environments NETwork] is a Horizon Europe project, coordinated by SHINE 2Europe, that is raising awareness on the opportunities to perform social innovation in the field of eco-friendly and inclusive environments, by reinforcing and consolidating quintuple helix synergies and developing a Social Innovation Framework.
