SESSION | Entrepreneurial and social innovation skills driving inclusion and tackling the innovation divide
Carina Dantas, SHINE’s CEO and SIRENE Coordinator is one of the featured speakers of this EU Week of the Regions session, in Brussels!
Join us on Wednesday October 11th to take part in this participatory lab, where together we will delve into European perspectives on ways to boost innovation and development that leave no one behind, by promoting entrepreneurial and social innovation skills, community-based solutions and multi-stakeholder alliances across cities, regions and sectors.
Participants will hear from innovators, researchers, policy makers and business practitioners from different backgrounds and countries and, together, they will brainstorm and co-create solutions that can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive and just communities.
In today’s evolving landscape, entrepreneurial skills like creativity, problem-solving, and community leadership are indispensable for European regions and cities. These skills not only drive social innovation but also foster social cohesion and job creation. They are key to preparing Europe for future economic and societal transitions while promoting a fair and just social contract, inclusive communities, and enriched environments.
Carina will be representing the whole Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments initiative, as NET4Age-Friendly Chair, coordinator of the SIRENE project and Director of the SHAFE Foundation.
