SHINE went to Lisbon to meet with the COPE partners

he COPE partners had finally met face to face and SHINE was present! On October 10th and 11th, the National School of Public Health of NOVA University hosted the first face-to-face meeting.

The COPE partners analysed and evaluated the work done so far and discussed the next steps. The second day ended with a study visit to the Association Crescer with a lovely lunch at the project “É uma Mesa” where the partners heard first-hand from social workers and community members how social inclusion and citizen empowerment flourish in the neighbourhood.

This consortium meeting allowed the partners to confirm that this type of approach, implemented across Europe, will benefit many professionals and NEET in Europe.

COPE is a project funded by the European Commission under EaSI (European Programme for Employment and Social Innovation), that aims to increase health and social inclusion of NEETs, young people excluded from training, study and employment, through an approach based on Social Prescription.
