From 28 to 29 October, Inês Saavedra and Juliana Louceiro represented SHINE 2Europe at the FITT-NESS project meeting in Yecla, Spain. Beautifully hosted by CETEM and AMUEBLA. The meeting brought together consortium partners and the Project Officer (PO), providing an opportunity to review progress across all work packages.
The event marked an important milestone, particularly for SHINE, which is leading a task related to the Train-the-Trainer programme. Sessions for trainees from the four participating ecosystems – Northern Portugal, Murcia, Lombardy, and Sicily – are scheduled to start in November.
Key decisions were also made regarding the Twinning Actions. With the open call now closed, preparations are underway to organise the participation of the selected organisations in upcoming activities.
Participants also had the chance to visit the laboratories of CETEM, the centenary Barahonda Winery, and GOMARCO, a local mattress manufacturer recognised for its innovation and commitment to sustainability.
The meeting highlighted the collaborative spirit of the consortium and strengthened the shared commitment to advancing sustainable and digital transformation in the furniture sector.
