Great session in the in the UNGA76 Science Summit, organised around the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA76) in New York this September, representing NET4Age-Friendly.This COST Association – European Cooperation in Science and Technology session really portrayed the richness of the COST world and the power of global networking!
On September 24, at 10:00 am CEST, Carina participated in thge panel CO24 | COST as the European instrument enabling global RTDI collaboration, along with the COST Association Director, a keynote speaker from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and three other colleagues chairing ongoing COST Actions.
This participation of NET4Age-Friendly comes in line with the United Nations Open call for good practices, success stories and lessons learned by all stakeholders in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda, where “SHAFE implemented through NET4Age-Friendly” was one of the recognized good practices from the +700 submissions that were reviewed by a team of experts from UN entities.
The COST session has holded a broader discussion a broader discussion on the needs and challenges of global RTDI collaboration and how these could contribute to the realisation of the UN SDGs. The COST Programme, celebrating its 50th birthday in 2021, has a vast experience in establishing and maintaining long-standing and trust-based collaboration among research and innovation partners from the different continents. The objective of the UNGA76 Science Summit is to raise awareness of the role and contribution of science to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
