SHINE 2Europe actively participated, sharing developments and achievements of its work, in the AHL 2023 International Conference in Naples, Italy, from November 13 to 15. The theme of the event was “Scaling-up digital solutions for active and healthy living: Implementing across scientific disciplines, industrial sectors and scenarios”.
Among several renowned international speakers, namely from the European Commission, Carina Dantas – CEO of SHINE, shared the company’s experience and vision in the field of Trustworthy AI. She took part in the opening session on the theme: “Developing resilient health and care systems” and presented SHINE’s model for integrating social innovation methods into the construction of trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. She also showed, as practical case studies, what is being done in the RadioVal and AI4HF projects, in the areas of cancer and heart failure, to ensure that the use of technologies will be done in a safe, ethical and beneficial way for society.
On the second day of the conference, Carina Dantas previewed the results of NET4Age-Friendly – the structure, personas, reports and training modules that will be made available to the community in less than a year – in synergy with the SIRENE project and the SHAFE Foundation.. All of the above are European initiatives, promoting inclusive communities based on the Smart Healthy Age-Friendly Environments (SHAFE) approach.
SHINE’s participation in the conference not only provided an in-depth insight into ongoing European initiatives, but also opened doors to learning about new digital health and wellness technologies, interacting once again with the many experts in active and healthy living from across Europe.
