We have yet another project up and running! S.H.I.E.L.D. is the new European initiative working to raise awareness of cybersecurity in the health and social care sectors.
On 22 April, SHINE 2Europe’s project manager, Rachel Apted, met with the other partners in the European project in Volos, Greece. This three-year Erasmus+ collaboration aims to strengthen the resilience of health and social care (HSC) institutions against cybercrime. To this end, it seeks to raise awareness of cyber threats and improve the digital skills and cybersecurity knowledge of students and professionals in the health and social care sectors.
S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together 7 partners from Czechia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Poland, and Portugal, all united with one mission: to strengthen the resilience of health & social care institutions against cybercrime.
As digital transformation accelerates, the need to protect sensitive data and ensure secure digital environments has never been greater. Students and practitioners must be prepared to recognise and respond to cyber risks with confidence and S.H.I.E.L.D. aims to help make that possible.
Over the course of the project, we will develop a practical training curriculum, a gamified e-learning platform and mobile app and guidelines to help health & social care institutions better prevent and respond to cyber-attacks
A powerful European consortium is making this happen along with SHINE 2Europe: Masarykův ústav vyšších studií ČVUT v Praze – Czech Technical University in Prague (Coordinator), EnEA Ente Educazione Assistenza – Istituto per Servizi di Ricovero e Assistenza agli Anziani, Association E-Seniors, Seasus, University of Thessaly and Medical University of Warsaw.
