On 10 November 2025, SHINE 2Europe participated in the European Studies Conference Cycle at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Coimbra, showcasing several EU-funded projects that address today’s most pressing societal challenges. The session, titled “European Projects Transforming Communities: From Health and Social Inclusion to the Green and Digital Transition,” highlighted SHINE’s active role in building inclusive, sustainable, and digitally empowered communities.
SHINE was represented by Natália Machado and Juliana Louceiro, who presented the organisation’s ongoing work and contributions to multiple Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ initiatives across Europe.
Through their presentations, Natália and Juliana shared examples of how SHINE connects innovation, ethics, and community impact. They presented projects that span digital and green transitions, social inclusion, and healthcare innovation, demonstrating SHINE’s diverse expertise in dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and co-creation with citizens.
The event featured two thematic sessions, the first one focused on the Digital and Green Transition, presenting the projects FITT-NESS, TourXpeRience, TERRA.game, OneAquaHealth, and GUARDIANS, which tackle sustainability, digitalisation, and smart innovation. The second covered Health and Social Inclusion, featuring CAREWAY, AGE-MEDU, HERA, and MEMORABLE, which promote health literacy, inclusive education, gender equality, and cultural participation.
The Cycle of Conferences on European Studies, organized by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, brings together prominent national and international experts to discuss key topics from the European Studies curriculum.
