The CO-SECUR consortium gathered in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 20–21 May for its 6th General Assembly, hosted by project partner Smart Continent Management Institute. The meeting marked an important step in consolidating the project’s efforts to build a more inclusive, socially grounded approach to security innovation across Europe. SHINE team was represented by Natália Machado and Taiane Abreu in key discussions over two productive days.
The two-day programme focused on several critical areas: reviewing the project’s overall progress, advancing the development of the Societal Development Plan (SDP), planning public engagement activities, and discussing and aligning on preparations for the final participatory event. A central moment was the co-creation session based on the first draft of the SDP, which has been released for public consultation and partner feedback.
The consortium also refined long-term exploitation and sustainability strategies through the CO-SECUR Alliance, with SHINE playing a leading role in the signing and formalisation of the CO-SECUR Alliance. The meeting reinforced the commitment of all partners to delivering practical tools that foster trust, acceptance, and effective co-production in urban security.
As an active member of the consortium, SHINE continues to play a vital role in shaping security solutions that are both innovative and deeply rooted in societal needs.
