SHINE 2Europe will be represented at the 30th German Prevention Congress, to be held in June in Augsburg, Germany. CEO and researcher Carina Dantas and Project Manager Harm op den Akker will present the paper ‘Social Innovation in Security: CO-SECUR case studies’, showing some of the practical cases developed under the European CO-SECUR project.
This project, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe programme, aims to strengthen security in public spaces through innovative and participatory approaches. CO-SECUR is committed to collaboration between citizens, local authorities, security forces and researchers, promoting security solutions that are closer to communities and adapted to their realities.
During the congress, other sessions organised by CO-SECUR partners will also be highlighted, which will delve into topics such as the perception of security through the social sciences, with interventions by Maite Ferrando Garcia and Meike Hecker, and the contributions of social and participatory approaches to innovation in the area of security, presented by Laura Llop Medina.
Recognised as one of the most important European meetings in the field of prevention, the German Prevention Conference is a valuable opportunity to reflect on innovative practices and strengthen international cooperation networks in this area.
