SHINE 2Europe takes part in the European Studies Conference Cycle at the University of Coimbra

SHINE 2Europe will be present at the Cycle of Conferences in European Studies, an initiative organised by the European Studies section of the Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and Arts of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, throughout the 1st semester. This cycle explores themes linked to the curricular units of the bachelor’s and master’s programmes in European Studies, with the participation of national and international experts. The sessions are open to the entire academic community of the University of Coimbra.

Representing SHINE will be Carina Dantas, the organisation’s CEO, and Inês Saavedra, project manager, who will be speaking on 21 October at 14:00 in room 11.

During their participation, SHINE 2Europe will share its experiences with Erasmus+ projects, with a focus on Adult Education and Lifelong Learning. In recent years, SHINE has been involved in several European initiatives that promote inclusive and sustainable education, empowering adults to face the challenges of contemporary societies.

As part of this cycle, there will be a national event for Priority45, the Erasmus+ project coordinated by SHINE, which aims to include adults over 45 in the workforce by enhancing their skills and providing ongoing training.

The event will feature detailed presentations on the results already achieved, as well as the presentation and testing of the learning platform developed as part of the project.

SHINE will also highlight the GreenerAge project, an initiative focussed on promoting sustainability and ecological literacy among the older population, empowering them to adopt greener practices in their daily lives.

SHINE 2Europe continues to strengthen its mission to create positive social impact through innovative projects that promote lifelong learning, a priority for building fairer and more inclusive European societies.
