The III Conference on Societal Health took place on November 23rd and 24th and was co-organised by ISCTE_Health and the Associate Laboratory SocioDigital Lab for Public Policy. The theme of this event was the Digital Transformation & Inclusion in Health.
SHINE participated in the event, with the presentation of the Horizon Europe project RadioVal, made by Carina Dantas, SHINE’s CEO.
This presentation was included in a panel moderated by Susana Azevedo, under the topic Participation and Inclusion in Health, where the example of the project RadioVal was put forward to discuss its ambitious framework for social innovation and stakeholder engagement, as led by SHINE in Work Package 1.
RadioVal is coordinated by the University of Barcelona, and it is the first major multi-centre, multi-continental and multi-disciplinary project to clinically validate an AI solution for the prediction of NAC efficacy in breast cancer, in 8 clinical centres across Europe, South America, North Africa and Eurasia.
In the next 4 years, SHINE will work to understand with stakeholders how to make RadioVal feasible in common oncological practice, validate the RadioVal tool and advance to fight breast cancer.
