Description
|
PHOENIX is a Phase I/II clinical trial developing a safer new treatment for children with aggressive cancers such as high-risk neuroblastoma. The project will test a promising oral medicine called ibrilatazar in children whose cancer has returned or does not respond to current treatments. Early studies suggest the drug can slow tumour growth while causing fewer long-term side effects than standard chemotherapy. The trial will also study how different children respond to treatment, helping doctors move towards more personalised and effective care for paediatric cancer. SHINE will lead the project’s gender and inclusiveness strategy, including the integration of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and social determinants of health into the clinical trial, helping ensure more inclusive and patient-centred research. |
