SHINE 2Europe, a company from the Central region of Portugal that specializes in applied research to promote inclusive communities, has been leading the PRIORITY45 project since November 2022, which is funded by the European Union and aims to promote the employability of adults over 45 through a disruptive training approach.
With the aim of creating and promoting learning opportunities, PRIORITY45 aims to improve the skills of citizens over 45, preparing them to thrive in a globalized and ever-changing world. Innovation, creativity and cooperation are the pillars of this initiative.
Throughout the project, a wide range of useful materials was developed to engage adults in continuous learning and improve transversal competences. Now in its final phase, most of the results are available openly and free of charge on the PRIORITY45 website – https://priority45.eu.
Thanks to the constant involvement of adults over 45, experts from the labour sector and adult education institutions, it was possible to gather direct and extremely useful feedback to create high-quality educational materials tailored to the needs of the target audience.
The PRIORITY45 Virtual Course is a valuable educational tool, both for institutions wishing to incorporate innovative learning paths for their employees, and for adults looking to develop competences such as creativity, time management and emotional intelligence. This course offers practical examples of how these skills can be applied in everyday life, with an impact not only on professional performance, but also on personal life.
In addition, the ‘ Blueprint for Making Adult Learning 45+ a Reality’ presents priorities, objectives and actions that can be implemented by organisations, policymakers, adult education services, associations and other actors. This strategic framework contributes to lifelong learning, economic growth, social inclusion and the well-being of communities.
PRIORITY45 is transforming local communities by empowering adults over 45 with relevant skills for the labour market and life in society. This project promotes a more adaptable and competitive workforce, attracting companies and generating job opportunities. At the same time, it boosts participants’ personal confidence, encouraging their active participation in professional and community life.
