On November 21, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM CET, SHINE 2Europe invites all enthusiasts of culture, wellbeing, and innovation to participate in the online event Culture on Prescription Virtual Exchange.
This is an initiative promoted within Culture on Prescription, a project funded by Erasmus+ program of the European Commission, aimed at raising awareness on the topic. It involves the prescription of locally available artistic activities and cultural offerings, from healthcare or social care professionals and directed towards people feeling lonely or isolated.
The Virtual Exchange Cycle aims to promote dialogue and skill progression between facilitators and stakeholders in the Culture on Prescription project courses. These exchanges enrich international communication and help align the project’s outcomes with the needs of the target audience. Additionally, the sharing of knowledge and best practices will enhance the implementation of Cultural Prescription across Europe.
In this session, Trincheira Teatro, responsible for the pilot theatre course “Sensory Lab” in Portugal with SHINE 2Europe, will share their experience on the training and the involved participants. CEIPES (Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’Educazione e lo Sviluppo) will also share their experience with theatre and young people; and the National School of Public Health of NOVA University Lisbon, will present their experience with the Social Prescription approach, especially in the COPE project, in which SHINE is also a partner.
The Virtual Exchange Cycle is much more than an online meeting. It is an opportunity to hear different perspectives from different cultures, promoting dialogue and skill development between facilitators and participants in Culture on Prescription offers.
