SHINE 2Europe, as a partner of the European project FITT-NESS – Fostering Innovation & the Twin Transition for iNclusive EnvironmentS and Smart homes, is pleased to announce the launch of the Call for Applications for Twinning Actions.
This call represents a unique opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and innovation intermediaries operating in the furniture and related sectors to enhance their innovation capacity and engage in meaningful cross-border collaboration. Eligible applicants must be based in Sicily (Italy), Murcia (Spain), or Northern Portugal, and work in areas such as furniture, design, lighting, smart home technologies, woodwork, household textiles, or sustainable materials.
Between January and September 2026, selected participants will take part in three immersive experiences, each hosted in one of the participating regions. These actions aim to foster new interregional partnerships, unlock shared investment opportunities, and support the twin transition in an inclusive and collaborative way by connecting regions at different stages of development.
Participants will benefit from sector-related events, in-person workshops, online training, mentoring, and tailored advisory services. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered through dedicated financial support.
The call is open until 23 September 2025 at 17:00 CEST, and applications must be submitted in English via the F6S platform. All necessary information and application documents are available on the FITT-NESS website, here.
