On 11 and 12 September, the Portuguese team behind the BRAVE-WOW project brought key research on workplace gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) to one of the country’s main gatherings of Human Resources (HR) and organisational behaviour experts: Diálogos em Comportamento Organizacional II, held at the Faculty of Economics of the Universidade de Coimbra.

Coordinated by Leonor Pais, researchers Ana Vieira, Sílvia Lopes, Inês Agostinho, Margarida F., and Natália Machado (SHINE 2Europe) presented 5 key studies focusing on prevention strategies for GBVH in the workplace, decent work deficits and their link to gender-based violence and stakeholder engagement models that drive meaningful, long-term systemic change.

Beyond data, the discussions tackled crucial questions about meaningful participation in organisational research: Who has a voice? Who shapes decision-making? And how do we move beyond simple gender representation to create real impact?

BRAVE-WOW is building a Community of Practice bringing together researchers, HR professionals, employers, and policymakers.
